Election Day

“O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.” (Psalms 34:3, KJV)

Today in the United States of America is November 3rd, the Official Presidential Election Day, and since this is the case, I decided that I should come on here and say what God has laid on my heart.

When people think of America, some may associate us as a country of freedom.

One with opportunity, perseverance, and hope.

Proud citizens who stand up for what they believe in.

Although, we have to be honest with ourselves. There have been quite a few things that doesn’t give us the greatest image. Imagine looking from the outside in, like many other countries do. It seems that all eyes are on us sometimes doesn’t it?

The technologies that have come about in our age has in a way put everything on blast. This year as a whole may feel like chaos. Although what some may want to use for evil, God can use for good.

Our technology has made it possible to spread the Good News of God, (Mark 13:10; Matthew 21:14). Both to those who have never heard of it and to those who might not have access to it in print.

When God said, ” I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalms 46:10, NKJV), He wasn’t lying!

“God is working out things you haven’t even prayed for yet. He’s the God who works ahead of time.”

& yet, the best is yet to come.

a few things I believe God wants us to know in this time:

  • HE is in control. (Proverbs 19:21; Jeremiah 10:23)
  • HE is our refuge. (Psalms 46:1)
  • No matter who wins the final vote, Jesus is King. (Revelation 1:5; Revelation 17:14)

“Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.”

Romans 13:1, NKJV

We travel to and fro in this world as if we are in control of our lives. We are sometimes completely oblivious to Who really is~ God! No matter what the out come may be, Donald, Joe, Jo, or whomever… In the end as we can see from Romans 13, it was Gods ultimatum.

Since this is true, we must also remember that who ever is the President it is for God’s divine plan.

Just as the Bible shows us, beginning to end, God’s plan is for His glory.

So even in these hard, anxious, fast-paced moments, know that God sees the finish line.

“Shepherd the flock of God that is among you, take care of them, not by constraint, but willingly, not for dishonest gain, but eagerly.  Do not lord over those in your charge, but be examples to the flock.  And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive a crown of glory that will not fade away.” (1Peter 5:2-4, MEV)

Since our Lord is our refuge this means that at all times we can run to Him for shelter. He is our safety net. Does this mean to be cowardly and hide away when ever we are afraid? No, we are to be bold in Christ (Hebrews 4:16) and to not be afraid (Joshua 1:9). Let us instead be confident because know who we are protected by.

With this confidence then, we can show others how to respond.

If we are to be a One Nation Under God kind of nation, then we need to be examples to our neighbors and to the entire world.

Rosa Parks once said, “Each person must live their life as a model for others.” What kind of example have you been in your community?

If you feel like you haven’t been much of an example, you can always start!

In God’s Word it is shown that there are many, many, many ways to show a godly example. You could start with, “Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same“(Romans 13:3, NKJV). God often also suggests that we submit. Fear the Lord first of course, then the rest will follow suit. Though of course always do a heart check.

I could possibly go on and on with this post but for now I will just leave you with what has been written and some suggestions.

If you would like please meditate on these books in the Bible:

  1. Psalms Chapter 34
  2. Psalms Chapter 46
  3. Romans Chapter 13
  4. 1 Peter Chapter 5

As always, please go to God first before believing any man/spirit (1 John 4). Including myself, God bless you all.

Psalms 34:4

“I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.”

King James Version (KJV)

“Prayer ushers you into a relationship with your Creator that impacts and reveals who you are as a person at the most profound levels.”- Charles F. Stanley

There is so much one could say about prayer. Prayer can do big things, or small. Prayer is also connection. Connection with the most important Being in the entire universe. How ever big that even is.

With prayer, comes humility. It allows us to lower ourselves and come to a God that is so much more than ourselves. It detaches us from the bustling world and brings us to a quiet space of intimacy.

You may know of the frequent times Jesus had often wandered away to do just that.

“And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.”

(Luke 5:16, KJV)

From The Gift of Prayer by Charles Stanley, he says it perfectly, “Your life was made to be an earthen vessel that shines forth His glory (2 Corinthians 4:7). And the more you know Christ and are unified with Him, the more He lives His life through you, giving you His power and revealing His plan for you.”

You see, prayer isn’t just a time for you to ask for all the things you desire. Prayer is a way for you to have the most important relationship of your life! Matthew 6:33 states, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” God and His kingdom come first! Did you know as a child of God you are already a citizen of His kingdom? You no longer belong to the worries of this world.

“Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world; if it were, My servants would fight to prevent My arrest by the Jews. But now My kingdom is not of this realm.

(John 18:36, BSB)

& although this kingdom Jesus speaks of is not of this realm, we have access to it everyday. Jesus tells us so, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there’! For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:20-21,NKJV)

“What other creature exhibits such a capacity or has been given such an honor?”- Charles F. Stanley

Are you in awe yet?

You should be.

I am showing you this passage because it glorifies the LORD. It illustrates His essence. A snippet of who He is and what He has done/does. Isn’t it just beautiful how some One so extraordinary and unfathomable would genuinely want a loving relationship with you and I? What is man that You are mindful of him (Psalms 8:4)? For we are just dust (Genesis 2:7; Genesis 3:19; Genesis 13:16; Genesis 18:27), yet you cover us in your blood (1 John 1:7), and cloak us with robes of righteousness (Isaiah 61:10).

“Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious,  you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 2:4-5)

My message for you all today is, be an opportunist. An opportunist is simply someone who takes on an opportunity. You take the chance that is given to you and take it. Luckily for us, right now we have every single day to seize the opportunity at hand.

Get to know God. Even more deeply than you do now. God insists that you do. He says in Jeremiah 9:24, “But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight”, says the Lord.” <- That is who He is and this is what He wants!

As for myself, I have been exploring my personal relationship with our Father. More so lately. The things I wonder about Him, I seek. The questions I have for Him, I ask. The worries I have, I lay them all at His feet. For He truly cares.

“He shall pray to God, and He will delight in him,

He shall see His face with joy.”

(Job 33:26, NKJV)

Taking on this challenge with God has done more than just be therapeutic for me. It is a continual learning process. I am learning how God speaks to me individually. I am learning how He speaks in general. Of what exactly He wants from me while we are here, and becoming more expectant to what He may reveal. It will not come all at once, as we may prefer (see Psalms 37:7), but I hope that this encourages you to maybe reach out to God on a new level. Fight against the distractions, the doubts, lies, or even laziness that is hindering your relationship. Trust your walk, trust where you are, and trust where you are going, because you are in safe Hands (Jeremiah 29:11; Psalms 46:10).

So as my journal says….

“Pray It Forward”

I ‘Need’ A Sign!

Meet me at the crossroads. Show me a sign.

Far too often I have had seen or heard people ‘needing’ a sign that God is there. They ‘need’ to see to believe. They ‘need’ something to hold on to so that when it comes to believing in Him that they can absolutely, 100%, not deny the possibility.

This has come across my path because of a friend recently, & as well as the online community. Whether you need a sign, proof, or just even the plain desire to be amused by such a thing, this post is for you. (And if you aren’t any of these people, then please keep reading I have something for you too!)

I am not here to ‘prove’ to you the way that you want me to.

I could never possibly do that.

Not because God isn’t real, but that fact that no matter what I could possibly tell you or supply to you, you still probably would block it out.

This is just a fact.

“A senseless man does not know, Nor does a fool understand this.”

(Psalms 92:6)

Although I wanted to come on here today and possibly enlighten you.

“If we do not have a correct theology of suffering, we will be shocked, devastated, and angered when adversity strikes us or those we love.”

You see for God, faith is a necessity.

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Hebrews 11:6 KJV

and as a believer, it is with faith that we have become children of God. (Galatians 3:26)

Just as NRSV states in 1 Timothy 3:16, “Without any doubt, the mystery of our religion is great”. In other words, the mystery of what we believe in, can be difficult to wrap our minds around. It can seem like a mystery, just as it states, but it is important to realize why we believe. The Bible is not just a book written by men. It is Holy Spirit inspired. Meaning, we can trust the Word of God because ,“All Scripture is God-breathed . . . so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16–17, NIV)

(Seek- Acts 1:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21, & John 14:26)

It’s not just some rule book either. It is basically a God given guide to the life we live now, and the life that is to come. It is God giving us the ins and outs. It is a way that a God, that is incomprehensible to our small minds (compared to His), was able to show us that He wants us to know who He is. To show us that He loved us so much that He wanted us to know. He is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33), and although we may have suffering in the world, He offers us a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

This is often a misconception of God and His believers. None of us, nor God, have EVER said with God on our side we would erase the problems of this world. It’s not that with God as our helper we eliminate the struggles that persist and try to tear us apart.

BUT with God you are never going through any of it alone.

With God you have an understanding of who you are. ( I D E N I T Y)

You have truth in a confused world.

ALSO just because we now have the love of God in our hearts, does not mean that we are or think that we are perfect. In fact, we know we are sinners!

YUP, we are SINNERS in NEED of saving!

Which is why Jesus Christ is our key to everything.

“Then there comes a roaring sound; He thunders with His majestic voice. He does not restrain the lightning when His voice resounds. God thunders wondrously with His voice; He does great things we cannot comprehend.” – Job 37:4-5

There are many who are standoffish about the idea of a ‘religion’. I want to express to you today that a relationship with Jesus Christ, is more than just religion. This life may be all that we are familiar with in the moment, but this moment can be taken away from us tomorrow. You do not decide when your last day here is. The only One who can determine that is the One who gave you that first breathe of life in the first place. What if today was your chance? What if right here and right now was the last opportunity for you to decide your fate? Would you take the chance and except God’s open invitation? The only thing you have to do is say, yes.

“He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.”

Proverbs 28:13 NKJV
If this genuinely interested you, I pray that you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior today. If you do, all the promises God has laid out for us will then also be for you. You will not regret this heart change. “Whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.” (Acts 2:21)

To the believer:

This is a note to not only hopefully encourage you, but to incite you as well.

When the one you are trying to influence for Christ doesn’t seem to be going well, do not lose heart.

When there seems to be a wall, know that there is a reason it is there.

Actually, there could be many reasons.

Here are just a few:

  • Because they are not saved through grace and do not believe on the redemptive work of Jesus Christ, they technically are still in the flesh.
  • You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. (Romans 8:9 NIV)
  • Since they do not belong to Christ, they do not know or recognize His voice. -“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” (John 10:27 NKJV)
  • Also since they have unbelief, this leads to their hardened heart toward God. (see John 12:39-40)
  • Lastly, one last thing that was brought to my attention that was extremely interesting involving all of this! 1 Corinthians 1:18 states, “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” They just don’t see it the way that we do!

This is unfortunate in the moment, but be hopeful. They may not understand where you are coming from now but don’t give up on them. Remember where you were before you became a new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), remember who you were before. Use the fruits of the Spirit as a guidance of how to handle the future scenario with whoever they are: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. You were once upon a time in their same shoes. (Colossians 1:21; Romans 5:7-10)

So, be patient with them, as hard as it may be at times. Know that God sees you and your efforts. Pray unceasingly. For your prayers are doing things that you may not see now but soon you will. One last thing before I forget, know that whoever they are, see you too. Keep being an example for the world to see. It isn’t for nothing. Trust me, they notice. 😉

“He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.”

Psalms 103:10-12 NKJV

Just Passing Through

I said, ‘Here I am, here I am’

Isaiah 65:1

Recently when I opened by Bible, I was brought to Isaiah chapter 65, and I decided that it would be neat to show you all what was brought to my attention during my study.

This may be an Old Testament reading, but no matter where you are led in God’s Word, I feel that He always has a way of making it personable to either you the reader or the readers current world view.

Have you ever felt this way while reading? Perhaps it is because the Word of God is alive (Hebrews 4:12).

Far too often, there are times where God is speaking and people do not recognize Him. Just as Isaiah 65 is illustrating for us, God continually reaches out to us, yet sometimes we lack eyes to see or ears to hear Him.

“I have stretched out My hands all day long to a rebellious people, who walk in a way that is not good, according to their own thoughts(Isaiah 65:2 NKJV).

God’s hands are stretched out to us. He is always speaking, always watching and we are always on His mind. Even when we are rebelling against Him.

He loves those who seek Him. He listens to our requests. God is interested in our prayers. We are included in His plans. (See Isaiah 65:8)

There is a reward for God’s people (Isaiah 65:9-10/Isaiah 65:13), and there will be a coming time where God will make it to where you will be sorry by not heeding His Word or His people.

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matthew 11:28-29)

Father has made it clear, that those who continue to ‘hide’ from God or ignore Him will suffer the consequences. (See Romans 1:20)

“God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He spoken, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19 MEV)

My friends, without God you can do nothing. (John 15:5)

You will not have the life fulfillment you are longing and searching for.

I assure you, God is good.

He forgives and no longer looks at your past. (Isaiah 65:16)

[[Actually, a small side note, this is one of the many things that brought me to Christ. I now had a hope, that I did not have to be defined by my past. God could make me new, and although I cannot take back all that I had done, I had a forgiving God that no longer looked at who I was. Instead He looks at who we are in HIM.]]

“The voice of weeping shall no longer be heard in her, Nor the voice of crying” (Isaiah 65:19 NKJV).

So what is God’s plan?

What can we take from His Word during all of the current chaos & confusion?

  • For one, He encourages us to be glad and rejoice in His divine plan for us.
  • He is a God who is all about Newness. So expect new to come.
  • God is not slacking on His promise ( See 2 Peter 3).
  • Verses 17- 25 in Isaiah 65 speak on a glorious new creation. That WE as God’s people will be able to experience.
  • Key words that have been resonating with me are: Trust, Rest, Await/Expect, and Joy.
  • We need to have fear of the Lord and repentance. To fear the Lord means to have respect for God, and remember who He IS. Even if He is our Father, let us not forget that He is also all Powerful and all Knowing. Repentance, means to regret, be sorry. Becoming aware of our wrongs and fleeing from them, and instead running into the arms of God.
  • Take a look into Colossians Chapter 2 as well.

Go look for yourself in this piece of scripture and meditate all on our notes from today. What is Holy Spirit revealing to you? Do not doubt while reading the passages. Do not be afraid to approach God as you are.

Come to Him in confidence, because He doesn’t want to keep anything from you. He wants you to know Him and all of what is to come (all very soon).

One last thing I wanted to share with you all. While reading Isaiah 65, something specific popped out for me, something personal!

Now a while back, about 2 years ago, I had a dream. This is probably the first dream that I can remember that gave me a short glimpse of what is to come. Now I do not dream very often, so when I do, and when it is so very clear, on top of being able to remember it…it must be profound!

I am about to tell you this dream for the mere fact that I hope that it will encourage you. That while you read my words, an image can appear into your imagination, for your own yearning.

Some of you may be asking, “why have you waited so long to tell your dream?”. Well, to everything has a season and time (Ecclesiastes 3:1), and the fact that I have been reading this sixty-fifth chapter at such a time as this, and happen to see this particular verse, that correlates with my dream…Seems like a good time to me!

[[I really wish that I could provide you all with the website I first found a while back. I search and research but I cannot find it. When I first had my dream and it was still very fresh in my mind, I found this website and I felt it was confirmation to what I saw. Although unfortunately I currently cannot find it, and I do not remember the exact words I searched so that doesn’t probably help. If I do ever find it I will comment on this post and leave it for you all.]]

Any who, let me tell you the gist of my dream.

It wasn’t the longest dream, yet it stayed in my mind. It still had an importance to it. – Keep that in mind when you think of your own dreams or visions. – Sky, just get to it! Okay, Okay – This dream was actually the dream that not only gave me a ‘sneak peak’ but it also gave me the courage to express my faith and belief in Jesus to my significant other. This is because I realized or had a knowing of where I was in this dream, and he was there with me! So, since he was there, that must of meant that he was going to believe. Well, we were walking at this ‘place’ and at this place I saw two older in age (but they looked great) women tending to a yard. It was a beautiful day, and I happened to notice the grass and it was the greenest, healthiest grass I had ever seen. We walked across this grass, and the ladies were watching us. They were probably wondering why we were walking on their lawn, verses using the path that was provided haha. Although, on this land I noticed a remarkable building. It was made of reddish wood, with intricate art patterns in it, and I knew it was a winery of sorts because at the top I saw a ‘sign’ or a ‘display’ of grapes. We did not go in, just looked, and we kept walking. How we were looking around and walking, seemed like how a person goes into a new town or on a trip to see something new, and they are just looking around to see what’s there before they begin. This is what we were doing. We ended up walking to the other side of this place now and then we were led to a road to the distance to look some more else where, and then the dream ended.

Now, the closest thing I can compare to what I mean by the intricate patterns I saw on this winery wood are the carved images on this old staircase. (See above)

The scripture I connected to this dream, based on our current reading was Isaiah 65:21, “They shall build houses and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit.”

Hello there, and welcome to Love Never Fails!

I am so blessed and excited to introduce this new site to you all.

Before I dive into the things the Lord has shown to me and placed onto my heart to share, I thought it would only make sense to express the meaning and goal behind this blog.

I also would like to comfort you in the fact that, EVERYTHING I post or share with you will be backed up with scripture.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Through this platform, I hope to glorify God’s name. As you can see from 1 John 4:8, God is love. So, when you look at the above statement about love from 1 Corinthians 13, you can also see the attributes of God.

Love/God simply does not fail.

& because He does not fail this is why you can lean on Him. This is why you can Trust Him more than anything else. While joining the family of Jesus Christ, I can show you (Holy Spirit inspired) how remarkable our Father truly is.

There is so much to learn and such little time.

You are not promised tomorrow. No one is. (Psalms 103:15-16)

If you haven’t accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior up into this moment, I encourage you to. If your sin or mistakes are stopping you, please don’t let them. God has compassion on us (Psalms 103:13). He understands, and He knew what you have done, and where you would be right now (Psalms 103:14).

I truly believe, if you were led here, you were not led here on your own. You were guided here. By a loving-everlasting God.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to give me a shout in my contact form. Thank you ever so much for stopping by. I pray you return to see my future posts! Know that you are loved, cherished, and prayed for.

Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things. (2 Timothy 2:7)
